Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible:
- We currently do not use HTML landmarks to identify the header, navigation or main content area. We will gradually update this in future releases of our website and assign these landmarks unique names and IDs to make it easier for assistive systems to recognise and interpret these areas.
- When a dialog is displayed on our website, it does not have a clear and understandable name to allow users of assistive technologies such as screen readers to understand its purpose. Without a clear name, users may have difficulty operating the dialog correctly, resulting in a poor user experience. We are constantly revising our website and will use dialogs in future versions of our shop in a way that is properly understood by assistive technologies.
- Some images on our website do not use alternative text to convey the content of the image to assistive technologies.
- Links are not sufficiently marked with regard to colour differentiation and other visual cues such as underlining, bold formatting and overall contrast ratio. As a result, they cannot be correctly recognised and interpreted by users of assistive systems. We will redesign so that links are sufficiently distinguishable in text blocks, lists and elsewhere.
- The contrast ratio between foreground and background is insufficient in many places. Users with limited vision may not be able to perceive all content. We will revise our design so that the contrast ratio between foreground and background meets WCAG 2 AA in the future.
- The hierarchical structure of headings (H1 to H6) is illogical on some pages. Assistive systems may have difficulty recognising and reproducing content in the correct context. We will continuously update our website and improve the hierarchical structure of the content with headings.
- Older content created before the current accessibility guidelines came into force may not be fully accessible. Retroactive adjustment would require disproportionate effort. However, new content is created in accordance with current standards.
- Not all elements of our website can be controlled by keyboard. Focus indicators are not always set. Interactive elements such as scrollable images or carousels cannot be operated by keyboard. The video player used on our website cannot be fully operated by keyboard. We do not currently use keyboard shortcuts. To meet keyboard operability requirements, we need to make in-depth changes to our website. This work currently constitutes an unreasonable burden, which we will solve step by step.
- Many contents of our website can only be interpreted with difficulty or not at all by a screen reader. This is due to missing labels or alternative text on some elements. Functions such as opening or closing interactive elements are also limited. Full screen reader compatibility would require reprogramming, which currently constitutes an unreasonable burden.
- We currently use customer videos in our shop that do not have subtitles, audio descriptions or an accessible video player. Recreating all videos in an accessible way would be unreasonable. For future customer videos we will use accessible techniques.
